Brighthill Farm in conjunction with the New Zealand Bloodstock Insurance Pearl Series is delighted to announce an exciting initiative to support the marketing and racing of fillies by our resident son of Frankel, Eminent.

For the 2020 breeding season, all paying mares visiting Eminent will qualify to have a complimentary entry to the NZB Insurance Pearl Series paid for by the Eminent syndicate, should a filly result from this 2020 mating (for terms and conditions please contact Brighthill Farm).

The NZB Insurance Pearl Series, which is run by the NZTBA and sponsored by New Zealand Bloodstock Insurance, continues to successfully nurture the racing of fillies and mares in New Zealand, with nominated candidates being eligible to compete in over 200 plus races with over $2.5 million in bonuses available to add to their prize money.

“We are delighted to be able to launch this initiative for breeders using Eminent this season. It will be really exciting to see the Eminent fillies competing for the bonuses over the next couple of years” commented Brighthill Farm principal Nick King. “The Pearl Series is now such a vital part of support for racing fillies and mares in NZ. We believe the timing of this is perfect to help increase both the value of fillies and support the option of racing them as well”.

Eminent, an exciting multiple black-type winning son of Frankel, has had a perfect start to his stud career breeding 114 quality mares in his first year and looks set to breed a very exciting book of mares again this season.

He has already made a big impression with his first two foals on the ground. Both foals are colts, with the first being out of the High Chaparral mare Rose Meer and was bred by Sir Patrick and Justine Lady Hogan and foaled at Cambridge Stud.

The second foal was bred and born at Sir Peter Vela’s Pencarrow Stud, who of course raced Eminent. He is also a very smart colt and is out of the O’Reilly mare Corinthia. It’s fantastic to have two such nice foals safely on the ground and the perfect start to an exciting future at stud for Eminent
