29 APRIL 2019

Preferment had a big weekend starting on Saturday on a beautifully warm Autumn day in the Hawkes Bay. The Preferment Autumn Stakes Raceday featured 3 races named after the exciting four-time Group 1 winning son of Zabeel. The Hawkes Bay Racing Club put on a great days racing on a very good track. The team at Brighthill shared the day with the Hawkes Bay Breeders Association who hosted a lovely lunch for members on the day.

The very following day on Sunday Brighthill were the first stop on tour of Waikato farms with first season sires this year. The day was organised by New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders who kindly provided a bus for the tour.

Preferment was paraded first and made a big impression to those who hadn't seen him since arriving on the farm.

He was shortly followed by 5 sired weanlings paraded in hand that will be attending the 2019 Karaka May Sale, and a further more three shown in a near field.

All of his impressive foals were very well received and comments were positive, mostly revolved around how much they looked like their handsome dad!!
