Brighthill's 2011 Yearling Preparation is in full swing. With many presale farm parades booked to commence in the New Year there's no stopping over the Christmas and New Year festivies.
With the Premier and Select horses x-rayed up prior to Christmas, the next major day will be filming each yearling for our website.
Each horse will have 30 seconds of walking and standing footage loaded next to their lot number up on our and New Zealand Bloodstocks website. This footage will be available from mid January.
The Premier horses depart for Karaka on Wednesday 25th January, with the Select horses arriving at Karaka from 30th January.
Our Festival horses will arrive early on Saturday 4th February ready to parade from mid morning. Selling on the one day sale Sunday 5th February.
Premier Sale commences both days at 10 am with the Select Sale commencing at 11 am for the three day. Festival Sale commences at 10 am.
We have a genuine, well produced draft of 36 yearlings to take up to Karaka, and really looking forward to getting the show on the road!
Last year we sold from the Festival Sale (Brighthill Farm bred) Napatap (Patapan - Priscilla) to South Island trainer Paul Harris. Napatap went on and won in tremendous fashion the CJC Welcome S. L. 1000m by 1.8 lengths, and subsequently went on and won the following start by 1.3 lengths. From just 5 raced day starts he's won 2 and 2 seconds. Napatap is currently in 2nd place on the list of highest NZ 2YO stakes' earners!! Napatap only turned 2 on 25th November!
