Moozoon scores Gr.3 Desert Gold Stakes for Sire Perfectly Ready
25 Jan 2014

Massive thrill today as we saw (actually I think the whole of Karaka Complex heard us screaming at the TV in the Brighthill tent) a gutsy win by 3YO filly Moozoon,  by resident Perfectly Ready fight to the line in the Group 3 Desert Gold Stakes at Wellington today.  Moozoon was bred and is raced by her owner His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum.   Moozoon was foaled and raised here at Brighthill Farm.

Ridden strongly to the line by Mark Sweeney and trained by master trainer Stephen McKee, Moozoon took off with a brilliant finish in the 1600m race.  Moozoon has only had 7 starts and won her last 2, with 3 wins and a 4th todate!

Her dam Mizzna is by Montjeu from Kiss It Better.  Moozoon has a full 2YO sister currently in training with Graham Richardson, and has a lovely bay colt by O'Reilly at foot.  She is currently back in foal to O'Reilly.

Already from this 3YO Crop of Brighthill Farm either bred or foaled and raised racehorses we have seen Al Strada by Perfectly Ready (last season's highest rated 2YO colt - Gr.1 placed - Show The World by High Chaparal Listed and Gr.2 winner, and now Moozoon by Perfectly Ready Gr.3 winner.

We have some gorgeous stock of Perfectly Ready at the Karaka Sales. Please click here to see video footage and photos of them.
