We are thrilled to announce that Triassic, dam of World Champion racehorse (10 x Group 1 Wins) and now sire at Coolmore Stud, Ireland, SO YOU THINK has booked in to AZAMOUR!!

A major success for the inaugural shuttle visit of Azamour to New Zealand this year was achieved today when it was announced that Champion Broodmare Triassic would visit His Highness the Aga Khan’s sire at Brighthill Farm this season.  Triassic, of course, was Broodmare of the Year in 2011 following the exploits of her 10 time Group One winning son, So You Think.

So You Think (by High Chaparral) is one of the best New Zealand bred horses in the last decade.  He is the only horse to be Champion racehorse in both Ireland and Australia. Having left some very impressive foals at his Coolmore base in the Hunter Valley he is now making a great name for himself at stud already.

“We are thrilled with Cecile’s decision to use Azamour for her Champion mare Triassic, for such a wonderful breeder to recognise the exceptional qualities of Azamour and the exciting concept of him shuttling to Brighthill Farm from the Aga Khan Studs is fantastic.” Nick King said on the announcement that Mrs Cecile Smith would be sending Triassic to Azamour.

Azamour has a made a great start to his visit to Brighthill Farm with his first positive scan from the exciting young Selkirk mare Franny who is a full sister to recent US Group One winner Forte Dei Marmi.   Franny’s 2YO Zabeel filly is shortly to head over to Australia to the very capable hands of Gai Waterhouse!
