Castletown Stakes - Huge run from Napatap
05 Jun 2012

Yesterday's $50,000 Listed John Turkington Forestry Castletown Stakes (1200m) saw Stakes Winning 2YO Napatap put in a huge run to come within a couple of lengths from the winner Excellent Reward, unfortunately Napatap was slow out of the gates,  and gave the field a good 6 length lead...

Once the horse was balanced up and taken wide around the outside of the field he put in the most enormous effort and finished strongly - really unlucky not to have got third place!

Napatap by resident sire Patapan from the Manntari mare, Priscilla was bred and sold by Brighthill Farm.   Priscilla is back in foal to Patapan.

Patapan was the first Australasian Freshman sire to leave a Stakes Winner in the 2011-12 Season.
